Photographed by Andy Houghton, styled by Catriona Stirling and art directed by Martin Perry, Out There tells us of the denim editorial, “The concept behind this story was to show a late-80's jean aesthetic and tease readers with the now almost extinct hanky-code. Gay men used to let would-be suitors know what their 'sexual preference' or 'fetishes' were by the colour of the handkerchiefs they had hanging from their jeans pocket.”
