Billy Kennerly, of Alpharetta, Ga., shot 11-under 269 (63-69-67-70) at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C., to win the AJGA’s FootJoy Invitational by four shots.
Kennerly, 18, earned an exemption into the PGA Tour’s Wyndham Championship with the victory, his first in an AJGA event. Kennerly finished runner-up to Brad Dalke at last month’s Thunderbird International Junior. He has signed with Clemson for next fall.
