I picked up the new December 2009 American Vogue issue today to get a closer look at Lady Gaga in Annie Leibovitz’s fantastic editorial. I was pleasantly surprised to discover this other shoot by Annie featuring two ballet dancers: Benjamin Millepied and Cory Stearns. Model Raquel Zimmermann joins the boys in the editorial ‘on the rise’.
Male dancers are a big source of inspiration in the world of photography these days. Bruce Weber photographed Roberto Bolle over the period of three years for his new book Athlete in Tights. Another famous photographer, Francois Rousseau, recently published a new book, Men in Motion, also inspired by the male dancer.
